The textbook has dedicated substantial space to discussion of on-site
water treatment (as well as sewage treatment and power generation).
There is almost no discussion of public utility water supply systems.
Why do you think this is so? What responsibilities, if any, does the use
of such public systems place on a building designer? Give examples in
