discussing two chapters from Louise Erdrich’s novel Love Medicine.

This purpose of the discussion board assignment is for you to share thoughts and ideas about the following two chapters:
“Love Medicine” (as told by Lipsha Morrisey in 1982)
“The Tomahawk Factory” (as told by Lyman Lamertine  in 1983). In each story Lipsha and Lyman not only tell us about circumstances they experience at the time, but they also share impressions or understandings of larger and ongoing dynamics related to other people in the story.  For example, both Lipsha and Lyman share stories and information about Marie and Lulu based on what they know from their experiences or heard from other sources.  We will go over these two chapters in class on Monday (11/05). Select three quotes from the chapters (a minimum of one from each chapter) that reflect an important point or theme in the story and briefly their significance to the novel.
