Write a story about your own racial narrative. Reflect on your racial identity development and apply key concepts, theories, and ideas from course materials. You can draw on your experiences and use pictures or images to illustrate key points. You are expected to engage with course materials to think through and describe the development of your racial identity. Submissions must address the following question: how has my racial identity shaped, impacted, and/or influenced my life? All course materials (e.g. articles, text, poetry, videos) are fair game to incorporate into your piece. When detailing your experiences, be specific and use examples but keep in mind the largest criteria for the assignment is on how well you relate lived experience to concepts, ideas, and theories presented throughout the course. Papers must be 3-5 pages in length (excluding references page and cover page).
