This course will provide a distinct level of post-undergraduate education and fosters a largely independent approach to learning and use of research methods appropriate to the IT academic discipline. The course gives the students an opportunity to present their cumulative knowledge and skills in a simulated business consulting environment. In this role, students will integrate key IT security concepts they learned throughout their study.
The students will engage in conducting literature review in the chosen topic, develop a position paper in consultant format to provide to a client that will advise the client of the effective security measure necessary to open a medical pharmacy in a public space. Discussion Topics and Labs are focused on helping the student think through all the security issues that need to be addressed when consulting with a client. This will also help the student build their minimum 12 page consulting paper.
